Founded in 2025 in Sweden, Artificial is an efficiency-first AI research and alignment company. We train models optimized for minimal latency and for automation.
We want this work to add up to something for people, and what we think stands in the way is not strictly how capable models are, but how long they take. They are already good enough to change how a great deal of work gets done, but they are still slow enough that most of that goes unused.
Models are moving past answering questions. They are starting to reason, decide, act and transact, working alongside people, software and one another. That shifts how work gets done and where value comes from. Whoever owns those models decides what everyone else gets to build on.
Sweden did well out of the last computing era without owning the layer underneath, because in that era you could still win at the application layer, building on platforms and infrastructure that belonged to someone else. We do not believe that route is open for AI.
So we work at the model layer, on systems built to understand systems, to decide and act quickly enough to be used the way a person uses a computer, but way faster, and to keep improving while they run. Speed is what dictates the architecture and the training, rather than something that gets tuned in at the end.
Chips and data centers matter, but the model is what everything else sits on, including machines that have to act in the physical world instead of just describing it. We intend to own that layer. A continent that only buys frontier intelligence never gets a say in what it becomes.
